Re: Time to start talking Pro Bowl

I just voted for the ones I think are pretty certain to make it. Should be a pretty good year representation wise for us, although we'll be playing in the SB so none of our guys will actually be there :)

I do, and this year I wonder if Harrison Butker or Josh Lambo get the nod.

Ingram is probably going to end the season with 12-14 TDs. He currently leads the AFC in TDs with 7. It's hard to believe he doesn't get a nod with so much attention on the Ravens offense.

Who cares about the Pro Bowl? I don't want to see ANY Ravens in it.

But Jackson definitely deserves a selection.

Ravens won't be able to play in the Pro Bowl this year.

It's about recognition. Not so much about actually playing or watching.

Looks like we will have a Pro Bowl QB for I believe the first time ever, unless Testaverde made it way back when. Jackson is not only the leading vote getter at QB, but the entire league.

This. And of all boards it's kind of funny, every year the whole board talks about how meaningless the PB is...

It's a popularity contest, but I'm voting for our guys, if nothing else, it's a nice recognition for them and something they can put on their personal play award mantle.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

I saw where Zeus Jr, Peters, Tucker, Yanda, and Ricard are all leading their categories too. The guy I may be most happy for is Zeus Jr, after all the crap he went through in the draft process and the awful combine where he was ridiculed non stop. He's a beast and we are lucky to have him.

For all the shit we've given Ozzie this decade, two, possibly three guys from his last draft are likely headed to the PB in their second years. Great, great draft.
