    Re: Marcus Peters?

Whether you like the trade or not, you can’t say EDC is sitting on his ass and not trying to make the team better.

If it is too good to be true, it probably is.

I'll wait to see where the other shoe drops.

Even if he’s bad, it’s a no brainer. A guy that can potentially be really good for someone who was trending closer to being cut than he was being an impact player for us. EDC continues to amaze with these deals.

Honestly worst case scenario this is a rental that turns into a 4th or 5th comp pick for a player who hasn't seen the field in 2 weeks. Absolute steal.

Much needed! Will help the defense right away.

Jimmy, hump, and Peters is really good

For sure. If all he did was sign guys off of practice squads that would be pretty lazy. Despite the opinion of Peters, this is something. He was highly regarded not long ago. The least he should get is a clean slate and another chance here. He’s better than Canady or Averett

Anyone got a source on price (Young + 5)?

    Thanks for the clarification.

    ...

So if this is a rental we are giving up Kenny Young, a 2020 5th, and about $6M in cap space to get 10 games of Peters and a 2021 comp pick for him. Sound correct? There's a tiny amount of dead money for Kenny young, but that would be more than offset by shipping out 11/17ths of Young's base salary. We also lose cheap control of Young for 2020 and 2021.

If we are giving him a long term contract, we paid the 5th and Young for the right to make the deal with him early rather than compete in FA and get the additional 10 games (+ possibly playoffs).

He was going to walk at the end of the year so they got something for him, it looks to be that simple IMO.

Badly needed upgrade in the secondary and the Ravens can always tag him if they want him around next year, or they can let him walk. If he plays well enough they can give him a long term deal.

Listen folks, this offense can eat clock like the likes have never been seen. It's still a work in progress while being ranked #1. Shore up that D!

He seems to be a bit of an psycho but maybe in the right locker room he can have a James Harrison type transformation.

Harrison is one of those guys you just wish worked out here.

Good point. It's probably that simple.

Loved him coming out of the draft. Loved his play early in KC. Wheels came off the bus both on and off the field. Have no heard much about him last year or two. Would love to get some perspective from LA Fans.
