This is a huge problem with the pass protection. The amount of empty sets we run gives defenses the green light to send heat and put instant pressure on Lamar. Especially with a big hole at LG/C in pass pro.

Why can't G-Ro realize that we need to sacrifice the extra route for a RB in the backfield? Ingram is a great blitz pick up too. When Lamar has time he can go through his reads properly or see the run lanes clearly if no one is open.

The issue with the quick pressure is that the pocket instantly gets skewered and it's a mess for Lamar to navigate, he's taken too many sacks in these situations and it's not his fault.

Not only do you keep Ingram in as an extra blocker, but you now open up the option for a designed screen to kill the blitz.

Stop with all the empty sets so often! Play it safe and protect first, worry about the route combinations second! All the route combos don't mean shit when there instant pressure constantly!
