Hard to tell. There's nothing specific in the article. A lot of speculation based on dates, but nothing specific.

Not clear yet. It will likely be one of those things where half the country sees nothing and the other half sees treason.

I'm guessing there are are deep divisions within our intelligence communities even as to how foreign policy should be conducted. See Iran and the last admins strategic decision to strengthen ties with them.

Could be a hawkish pro Bolton type angry at something Trump said. Who knows.

It wasn't a secret plot. That's for sure because its understood the calls are monitored.

So wait, this is about someone who overheard the president talking to a foreign official
And not liking what trump said or “promised “. This is ridiculous. He’s the freaking president. He has the authority to do that. It’s called being president .

The president can say what he wants. It’s not the responsibility of the intel guys to go police the president and go snitch on him to Congress.

Depends on what the whistleblower said compared to what actually happened. All of the President's calls are monitored, so this will be the shortest investigation ever... the problem is that regardless of what the IG says, Democrats are already calling it a coverup, and saying it is another reason Barr needs to go... which makes zero sense since it hasn't even reached his desk yet.

Is what wrong? That people are trying to make a big deal out of this? Yes. This is well within the power of the president

Add to it, who trusts the Intelligence community anymore? They have their own agendas and they don’t align with what they’re supposed to be doing in the first place.
