    Yeah it was Armitage. And Libby goes to jail and Rove almost goes down too. Can we all see the problem with special prosecutors here? The last three have been disasters.

    The media totally left that impression. It was better for their agenda. Libby was more closely tied to rove and Cheney. While armitage was more associated with the media darling Colin Powell. To top it al off the investigators knew very early on who was the source and yet kept ‘investigating’

    The deep state is real. It just represents the mass of unaccountable, unelected government bureaucrat lifers on both sides of the aisle. Hillary referred to it in part with her "vast right wing conspiracy" comment.

    When you have a lot of government bloat you end up with institutions that have outsized power and that create a lot of inertia that is often counter to the popular will. This is a good thing sometimes. Other times it just makes for dysfunctional government. That would be now.
