Big changes to Bears coaching staff: former Jaguars’ OC John DeFilippo is being hired as their QB coach, QB coach Dave Ragone is being promoted to passing game coordinator, and Bill Lazor is being hired as OC, per league source.

DeFilippo and Lazor both got fired mid season not too long ago. Interesting to see them both now on the same team.

I remember Dave Ragone as a player. I liked him a lot at Louisville and wished he had gotten a shot at playing in the NFL. I didn't realize he went into coaching.

98.5 is reporting that Gary Tanguay (now with 93.7 I think) said earlier today that Belichick was in talks with the Redskins and the Giants and used that as leverage with Kraft to get full control over the operations so there will be no more ownership meddling in football ops. So the owner won't force him to trade Jimmy or not trade Gronk or to cut AB.

That's a big deal. Now Brady only comes back if Bill wants him.

There is no way that anyone in the media knows what is going on with Belichick or the Patriots. Complete BS.

That's not what you want if you are Joe Judge but it's not that unusual for rookie head coaches to be stuck with guys they didn't pick. We had it here with Harbaugh and Rex in 2008

The real mistake was the Cowboys sticking with Kellen Moore. That offense looked like the horrible one that Al Davis pushed on all his coaches in then 2000's. All those deep passes to no one? Limiting Zeke's runs the second they were behind? That's another ownership demanded hire and it's a lot worse

With Jerry, Moore is the new Garrett. He's the new coach in waiting if McCarthy doesn't produce.
