It doesn't matter when you overpay like the Jets do. They spent more money on free agents this year than any team in the league.

Many think the Steelers didn't do right by Bell, but I think the opposite. Being insulted by the Franchise Tag ($14.6 million), sitting out the season (thereby making zero $), then signing on a team that had been 14 - 34 the prior three years (plus 1 - 5 in 2019) for not much more than he would have made, to me was a pretty bad idea. It's also hard to "light it up" when your motivation keeps sinking with every loss... Bc
