Good to know. I miss the Chapelle show. I actually met him once and had a beer with him. Nice guy

Watched it last night.
2 things...
1) His impression of the audience was spot-on and ironic.
2) His Juicy Smoolette, the "white heroin people," and the breakdown of the "alphabet people" bits were hilarious.

I like all of the people raging and being butt hurt over his Michael Jackson jokes.

Re: Dave Chappelle’s Sticks and Stones Netflix Special
I know.
It's comedy people. Relax.
If social media existed in the 80's when George Carlin was in his prime, he would've been attacked 24/7. He would've given it right back 24/7 too. IMO, that's how you have to exist as a comic today. You almost have to become a strategic politician in order to combat/deal with the nonsensical butt hurt because it's unavoidable. Chapelle's strategy in this show was smart. He's indifferent, but he somewhat plays their little game by using their logic against them. The LGBT bit was smart and hilarious.
To me, what has happened to the "stand up comedy" industry is a metaphor for what's REALLY sucking the fun out of culture in general. Undeniably, it's social media and the assholes who use the platform to virtue signal against everyone else they deem lesser.
Something else I watched recently - Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth.
Holy shit. Mike Tyson is actually pretty funny (if you can understand him). He's also about as self-deprecating as you can get. He totally understands that he is a character worth making fun of...and boy does he. The stories he tells are comical and interesting. It's worth a watch...if you have HBO.

Re: Dave Chappelle’s Sticks and Stones Netflix Special
I thought it was kind of cringey at parts, but got a lot better after the first 10-15 minutes or so. A little bit too preachy at times without the humor to balance it out. But altogether I enjoyed it.
