Steelers 53 man roster prediction.
Hey you all. Just wanted to share Ray Fittapaldos 53 man prediction from the Post Gazette today.
Looks to be a pretty solid projection. It’s been a quiet pre-season and I’m thankful for that. The drama with AB and Lev Bell was a bummer as a fan. Not gonna lie, I’m going to miss watching AB make plays for the Steelers. The cat can flat out catch the rock. I certainly won’t miss the drama tho.
The Steelers strong point on offense in my opinion will be the O-line and for the defense I’m going with the guys up front. The weak points in my opinion could be an unproven secondary besides Joe Haden and a shaky kicking game along with special teams.
Thank you all, board members, mods and admins for having me here. It’s s great forum.
I’m excited for you guys this season with regards to Lamar Jackson leading the offense. Always liked the kid in college and wish him a great career with the Ravens.
Here’s to an exciting season. I’m ready for some football!!

Re: Steelers 53 man roster prediction.
QB - The Neanderthal never dies. Rudolph can be a backup
RB - Connor's good, Samuels is good, Snell should be good = solid group
WR - JuJu and James Washington should start; the rest can just run around for Ben
TE - Serviceable, but a step back from Jesse James
OL - Starting unit is one of the best, reserves are iffy
DL - Heyward / Hargrave / Tuitt might be the best 3-4 line in the NFL
EDGE - TJ Watt the only playmaker on the unit, possible issue here
LB - Much needed turnover; I see improvement w/ Bush
CB - Steven Nelson is the most important FA signing, must play well
S - Terrell Edmunds needs to take the next step... uninspiring unit
ST - Boswell's a vet, Jordan Bery's ok, returners are ???

Re: Steelers 53 man roster prediction.
Overall I see a top ten offense as usual, and a potential top ten defense, and a playoff contender yet again. I believe two of (Baltimore, Cleveland, Pittsburgh) are playoff bound this season, which is really a normal year for the AFCN except that Cleveland takes the place of Cincinnati.
Big Ben is the key to Pittsburgh; we Ravens fans know it, people who don't watch the Steelers may not understand. |Oh noes, they lost AB, they lost LeVeon Bell!| Whatever. If Ben plays well, the Steelers do well. He's got freaking Ryan Switzer and Eli Rogers making big plays for him. Mason Rudolph can win a couple games like Charlie Batch did or whatever, but Ben needs to play 12+ games.

I wish we had a OL like the Steelers, but we keep Yanda.

3rd round pick Dionne’s Johnson should see some time as a return specialist.

There’s a chance Diontae Spencer makes the team and could be used in the same role.

Re: Steelers 53 man roster prediction.
That was a curious pick when the Steelers took Diontae Johnson at the beginning of Round 3, over WRs Terry McLaurin, Miles Boykin (our own), Hakeem Butler, Kelvin Harmon and a few others. I was sitting there telling myself, "man that is a reach! .....but the Steelers are soooo good at picking WRs! So I must be wrong."
CB Justin Layne I think was a good round 3 pick and will at the very least be better than Artie Burns.

Devin Bush looks like he's going to be a star for you guys for a long time. I'm excited to watch him play against us twice a year. Hopefully both teams can get back to that tough defensive football we used to have. Overall, I think you guys have a solid team even without those two headaches in NY and OAK.
