Re: Democratic Primary
No they are not fact based nor do they matter. My point was merely that it was ALL we got out of 8 years under Obama... front page news! Obama takes Michelle on a date! Page 2: What was she wearing????
Page 3: Is he REALLY the smartest person in the world? Analysts say yes.... Page 4: Obama cleans his Nobel Peace Prize... isn't it beautiful? Page 5: something about some guy named Eric Holder running guns to Mexico cartels and pleading the fifth, under a picture of Obama with an American Flag waving bravely in the wind.
It wasn't even hidden Propaganda... they might as well just used Heroic Realism Art as their backdrops (look it up if you don't know what it is)."Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else." -Margaret Mead

Re: Democratic Primary
Well, back then I would have labeled CNN as almost imperialistic, but still considered their pure news reporting fairly good. Except the coverage of the Gulf war, which is I guess the main reason I saw it as an extension of american/western imperialism.
Also, Clinton isn´t left in any person that is actually left leaning you know... only an american right winger could ever try to make 1990s CNN left/liberal biased. It´s absolutley ludicrous. But then, the right has always been good at moving the goal posts of what is to be seen as unbiased, or centrist. This was also before Fox News with Murdoch and Ailes doing their best to fuck up what media is supposed to do and be for the people, and which sadly has led to what you have over there today.
For those that haven´t read J B McPhersons book it is recommended. It´s up for free nowadays. And this was written in 2007-08, and since then, gosh...

Re: Democratic Primary
So now a foreigner is telling me what is or isn’t center in our political system? Seriously? We haven’t had a true fiscally right of center leader in my lifetime either. Trump is fiscally left of center...
I think your view of central is INCREDIBLY off base, but how is that surprising when you are from perhaps the most left leaning society in the history of man...

Re: Democratic Primary
Oh, any left leaning american will absolutley tell you the same thing. There wasn´t much left leaning in Clintons fiscal politics, nor in Obamas. You think a user here like bandc here who supports Yang would call those two left?? You think Bernie Sanders consider them them left? Not a chance.
You have only had fiscally right leaning leaders from a centrist point of view. You have capitalism have you not? It is you that have an incredibly off base view of central, probably being a libertarian fiscally then. Can´t imagine a conservative thinking you have left of center fiscal policies.
Perhaps the most left leaning society in the history of man...? Yeah... that would be any of the communist countries, there have been numerous, not a country that hasn´t had a day of socialism or communism. Talk about being incredibly off base...
