Re: Democratic Primary
Not on topic per se’ but ...was back in Hazard County this past weekend visiting the family. My Brother and I went to Independent Brewery for a few cold ones on Sat nite and I shit you not slapped on the back of a Prius in the parking lot was the funniest bumper sticker I’ve ever seen.
Sticker read “ Billionaires can’t buy Bernie. Vote Sanders 2020. “. If I wasn’t mildly inebriated I woulda took a pic.
You can’t make this shit up. People really believe these guys are on our side!

Re: Democratic Primary
But isn’t Bernie a Billionaire? I mean Trump is and he prob hasn’t been bought. It just strikes me as funny how both sides think these career politicians are good for us. They’ve all gotten rich off of kick backs and donations. Just odd.
Not intended to be aimed at you brother CJ.

Re: Democratic Primary
I said the stock market reacted to trump winning. I said investors specifically stated they wanted to invest in the market because of trumps views on business. The stock market reacts to to the potential. It goes back to the old saying. Buy on the rumor, sell in the news. So the stock market took a sharp rise when investors realized Wednesday morning that they had a business friendly president that ran on lowering taxes for business. That is how the stock market works.
The economy typically lags behind. So the gdp wouldn’t change overnight. That might take a year or two to see results This should all be common knowledge.
So trump has a pro business agenda that investors like. Thus the stock market took a sharp rise
Not sure I would give clinton credit for NAFTA being his policy. Bush worked on it. Signed it in 92. Clinton formalized it. It’s kinda like giving Bush Sr credit fir opening west Germany because the wall actually came down under Bush, when it was a Reagan policy and he did the leg work and bush happened to be in office when it happen
But back to the original question, that no one seems to be able to answer. What Clinton policies lead to the strong economy or job growth?

Re: Democratic Primary
I would love to see an end to career politicians. Would love to see 10 years be the cap. You can maybe 12 years. So 4 years as a rep or a governor, then 8 years as a pres. or 12 years as a rep. Or a senator. But let’s just end these crooks that are becoming millionaires because they are in public office for decades

Yeah, and that's reported income. Who knows how much lobby money/side deals they pocket. I'm sure most of them also have their kids set up in gravy jobs just like Joe Biden did for his kid. Also, most people get a couple of weeks vacation, Congress gets several months vacation. It's a joke.
