    Here's the comment:

    Summary:

Edgar Allen's grip argument is not 100% convincing, because:

    1. Sometimes Lamar throws it great; if the grip argument is right, then he'd have to be gripping it differently on the good throws, which seems weird.

    2. Drew Brees seems to grip it similarly, and Brees is perfect. :-)

    3. The "wobblers due to grip" link seems questionable. I think there's as much or more evidence for (too much) wobble being caused by bad or weak follow-thru, rather than grip.

Edgar counters those points with class and grace:

Hmm! Two well-thought-out viewpoints! What do you think?

    Next up: Get a Grip
I have had the same neck spinal surgery as Manning. I lost the strength in my left arm plus miserable pain for the rest of my life, I don't know how he even played again.

I could throw a football pretty well and when you short arm a pass, the ball doesn't spin off the index finger as well, especially if it is on the tip of the ball. Sometimes it can't be helped with the speed of the game.

He'll be fine, if he completed 3 of more passes last season he would be at 60% and all this s wouldn't be such a media driven problem.

Im pretty sure no one expected him to start last year or less to the playoffs. I'm sure with his work ethic, experience of the game slowing down in the second year, and great coaches around him, he can gain the extra huge 1.8% completion rate.

It's so ridiculous how peoples perception of numbers affect their reality. Like price pointing. Someone buys a car for 29,988 and they tell themselves and everyone else they ONLY paid in the twenties and got such a good deal unlike the tools who paid 30,000. Even though the difference between the two is 12 bucks.

In Lamars case it's working a negative impact on many peoples view of Lamar as a passed when in fact he's just 2 passes out of every 100, to be at 60%.

    Wobble that doubters.
