    OT: Not Impressed With Murray

    https://youtu.be/YW8ObqvoqTU

Yes this is one game and it's preseason, but I am not seeing this "once in a generational talent" that he's being hyped to be. In fact, I will argue that Trace McSorley looks much better than Murray.

When I see Baker Mayfield, I see an it factor. Same for Lamar. Obviously for Pat Mahommes. But this kid? Sorry. I don't see it. I think the Cards will be drafting a QB again next year.

    sigh...
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

On a team that was terrible last year.

    Is that you, Vinny?

A little early to write-off the guy.

Seems poised and quick. Also, having watched nothing else of him in the NFL, I like how balanced & in-control he stays when he gets flushed. He clearly has tools.

But let's not lose track of this:

Murray needs to get used to not having Hollywood brown and Lamb to throw to. Plus that OL was flawless too.

Wasn’t a huge Murray fan. Accuracy was supposed to be a selling point here...not sure it’s there yet. Every ball looks odd due to his height. Definitely has tools to work with.

David Johnson, Larry Fitz, Christian Kirk, and that trio of rookies is damn good though. What he needs to get used to is having a terrible OL.
