The Ravens had a solid offensive line; receiving weapons; nice backfield and a QB who could rip it. Yet in those seasons (2008-12) they finished 18, 13, 22, 15 & 16 in total offense. I think it's safe to say that Cam didn't employ the team's talents efficiently. And by the way, during those same years they finished 2, 3, 10, 3 and 17 on defense. 2012, the worst of the lot, was Dean Pees' first as DC.

You are correct on some of those points. Ask any Ravens fan would you not rather have (Ray Rice) over any number of just guys at RB we have seen since his departure. Its safe to say the RB position has been pretty much garbage since we lost him.

Ask any Ravens fan if they would rather have (Derrick Mason, Torrey Smith & Anquan Boldin) .vs (Chris Moore, Breshard Perriman, Jeremy Maclin, Mike Wallace etc...


The personell group was definitely better, The Young QB was definitely better, Cam Cameron was definitely better than anything we have seen since.

If you honestly and objectively look at every single OC in Ravens franchise history, Cam Cameron should probably be near the top of anyone who has ever held that position outside of 1 great year with Kubiak and the early 96-99 years when we had a top ranked QB in the league. Most people forget (Vinny Testaverde) was a top ranked passer for a short stint here.

But to say Cam Cameron did not use the personnel properly just does not make sense in my opinion. During his tenure, the talent we had was better than anything we have seen in recent years but at no time outside of Ray Rice was our QB or WR grouping near tops in the league. It was just the best Talent the Ravens had ever had.

They also had a rookie QB in 2008 that they rode to the AFCC. You can't just judge an offense on where they rank in terms of racking up yards. That's stuff fantasy players do.

Controlling the clock, limiting turnovers, and flipping field position are also important -- in fact, doing that successfully is what helps your defense be ranked 2, 3, 10, 3 and 17.
