Re: Lamar worked out w/ WRs today
Bear in mind that a lot of the perception of Griffin was purposefully 'leaked' or in some cases directly fed to media by a bitter, disgruntled, former HC that blame-shifted his own football malfeasance onto the player whose knee he helped destroy. Btw, that former HC has never sniffed a NFL HC job since.
But, I actually agree that Griffin wants and believes himself to be a starting QB in the league....and I don't think there is anything wrong with that belief on his part. At the same time I don't think his belief is a negative for the team. Griffin understands his role and he knows his best shot is to continue to put in good work as grooming Lamar while also preparing as the starter and pushing Lamar from a practice standpoint.
Many coaching staff's grade practice (def recognition, control of the 'hot' receiver, audible correctly?, go through the correct progression, mechanics, throw on time, choose the right receiver....). And although Lamar is clearly the franchise QB going forward i'm sure Griffin is playing his tail off during practice and forcing Lamar to maintain a high level of competitiveness.

Re: Lamar worked out w/ WRs today
I love what I'm seeing from Lamar.
But the only way to know how much all of this hard work & effort is translating into real progress is to (finally) see him play.
Dare I dare to be cautiously optimistic about this offense and team for this season?
