    Unsung Moments in Ravens History

The Ravens have accomplished a lot in their relatively youthful existence but w/o some under-the-radar, unsung plays, the attained glory may have never happened. We examine a couple of those plays in the 1st of a 5-part series.

Brandon Stokley's lead-creating TD catch in Supberbowl XXXV

it does make the highlights but it isn't really talked about how good a play that was

Dannell Ellerbe tackle against Gore is the all time #1 for us. So many other LB could have given up on that play and let Gore walk in.

    Number 2

Let's admit it, the 4th and 29 check down from Joe Flacco to Ray Rice was a bad play made possible by two things: Ray Rice's determination and a key, crushing block, without which the Ravens probably don't go on to win Super Bowl 47.

Anthony Mitchell with the return after Al Del Greco's kick was blocked for the go ahead TD in Tennessee in 2000.
Todd Heap made this great grab on a 35 yard TD from Anthony Wright to tie the Titans in 2003 with 4:30 left before Zeus lost his cool.

Ed Reed actually pushed Gore out on that play, just a late whistle by the ref. Still good effort by Ellerbe to save it just in case, but Ed got him out of bounds

That is a great nominee! Everyone shows the Ray Lewis INT but that block was right there with it.

Keith Washington was the guy that blocked it
