Ravens add a tackle via waivers

Don't know anything about him but it had to happen.

Bleed Purple but don't be a homer

Probably a bad omen for Stanley. Looks like a move to prepare for life with Stanley to IR

Not so sure, didn't there reserve tackle on the practice squad just get suspended for a positive test? Not sure it's about Stanley at all.

Brandon Knight can also play OG, where the Ravens are very thin with the injury to Cleveland. This move may just be to shore up OG depth with them getting a reserve OT as a bonus. So, it may or may not have anything directly to do with Stanley's situation.

True. Think you may be right.

He was undrafted from Indiana in 2019; did not attend the Combine. Started 9 games at left tackle for Dallas last year and had a pretty rough time. I guess he could end up being better than Smith currently is with more experience.

Keep in mind that Dallas had a ton of OL injuries last year, which may be the only reason he started those games.

Got on the Cowboys boards and read some Dallas articles. Knight gave up a lot of sacks at left tackle while he was filling in, but the Cowboys liked him. Sounds a bit like Mekari; a smart guy who can play everywhere and in time might be better than expected. At the worst, he looks like good depth.

That seems like the optimistic scenario tbh.
