See, in a movie like The Long Good Friday, the snakes get theirs in the end. In Goodfellas, I have to follow around a rat by the end of the movie, and he lives. What kind of shit is that? The rat lives? In the Long Good Friday, Jeff gets viciously stabbed in the throat with the same bottle that was broken over his head and Harris gets lit up. In Casino, Mickey is forced to watch his brother get beat to death with aluminum bats and thrown in a dirt box before surcoming to the same fate.

But Goodfellas? Oh no, can’t have that, we get to watch he and his wife running around WitnessProtectionVille.
