This is a minor but legit question. Yes it doesn’t matter who the 3rd QB is ...but ...if we’re gonna run a run centric offense that features 5+ QB runs a game ..it’s legit to worry about Lamar getting hurt.
Look at Philly. Wentz is bigger than Lamar , they run an RPO style offense when he plays ...he’s been hurt every year he’s been in the league. Wilson gets banged up every year. It’s important to have the same “style “ QB as your back ups. Not saying carry 3 every week , but if there is a rookie that we can grab UDFA that has ran a run centric , RPO style ...why not grab him. I mean in camp they’re gonna need a body anyway. He may as well fit the scheme.
A guy like McSorley might be good because he can do both styles ok. For PS he can drop back for scout team but he ran RPOs in college.

True, we should give Lamar a chance just like Joe deserved more respect, we must support our guys.

Will the #3 QB be on the 53 man roster or be placed on the practice squad, knowing that any team can pluck him off at any time? McSorley would probably have to on the roster since other teams may have an eventual interest in him if they need a backup.

I’m for it. I actually have faith in Lamar ...it’s the Coaching staff that worries me. Lamar’s a hard worker. We’re gonna get 100% of what the kid has.
