I don’t think Stanley Morgan or Jaleen Hurd are late round/UDFA

    Zedrick Woods -SAF
    Jalen Smith - WR

I love all the hype that Trey Pipkins from Sioux Falls has received. It's not often that you hear raves about a division II player but that's exactly what has happened. Pipkins looks like a very interesting developmental Left Tackle prospect. I really want to see how he handles the NFL.

Setting aside the Lamar connection, what do you like about Smith? Again, I'm asking these questions not to be argumentative, but because I've not seen a lot of these guys on tape. Thanks.

Did he play in either the East/West game or the Sr. Bowl? How did he hold up? Those are usually good measuring sticks.

Regarding Ta’amu, GreatWhiteNorthRaven and I have both talked about him. In what light you ask? Well, let me put it this way. The Rock used to have a saying for certain things you possessed and what you should do with them. I believe shiner was involved. That’s what you can do with Jordan Ta’amu passing ability.

The next Laurent Douvernay Tardif perhaps?

One of the biggest reason why I would target Jalen Smith late in the draft or as UDFA is because of his relationship w/ Lamar.

But, putting that aside...…..Players that are targeted late in the draft or UDFA aren't going to check as many boxes and will have more flaws then prospect ranked/drafted before them.

To answer your question here's what I like about Jalen Smith:
    -big bodied WR w/ good speed - 6'2 - 219 lbs - 4.47 good explosion numbers too: 34.5 Vert - 122 Broad

-when he played with Lamar he was considered a WR on the rise, and had good production:
    career averaged 16.5 ypc -
    Jr season: 60-980-7 TDs - 16.3 ypc
    So: 27-599-6 TDs - 22.2 ypc

    -Senior played 4 years

-Played in an NFL passing game

-Showed well at the Senior Bowl practices where he was one of the better receivers especially vs press coverage

    Yeah he’s pretty underrated imo
