    Re: AFC North Enemies Draft

Pittsburgh CBs/DBs drafted since beginning of Flacco/Harbaugh era (2008)

    2008 (6) Ryan Mundy
    2009 (3) Keenan Lewis
    2009 (6) Joe Burnett
    2010 (5) Crezdon Butler
    2011 (3) Curtis Brown
    2011 (4) Cortez Allen
    2012 (7) Terrence Frederick
    2013 (4) Shamarko Thomas
    2013 (5) Terry Hawthorne
    2014 (5) Shaquille Richardson
    2015 (2) Senquez Golson
    2015 (4) Doran Grant
    2016 (1) Artie Burns
2016 (2) Sean Davis -> moved to pure safety
    2017 (3) Cameron Sutton
    2017 (5) Brian Allen

Before 2008, the Steelers were able to draft DeShea Townsend, Chris Hope, Ike Taylor and William Gay, nevermind Troy Polamalu (a pure safety). Since then....

With Nelson and Haden being a pretty good CB pair, I think the Steelers 1st round pick will either be an ILB or OLB. I think they will take another swing at CB later on.

With 4 picks in the first 83, their draft will probably be ILB, OLB, WR/TE and CB.

Agreed, but wouldn’t be surprised if the went WR in the first just to take some pressure off Juju.

I just wanted to say that the Steelers taking Artie Burns at all was a bad pick, but taking him in the first round was one of the most idiotic picks they have ever made.

I don’t think so. They need CB. S. TE LB. I do see them taking a wide out maybe in the third or fourth round. The Steelers also have 10 picks this year in the draft which is three too many as far as I’m concerned. I’m hoping they trade up and grab a Devin.

Maybe we can trade Scouts. We sure could use help in identifying a WR and they could use help identifying a DB

I have seen Boykin mocked to them a TON in the 3rd round. I really hope that doesn’t happen.

I think he’s a competent QB away from being really good.

    Re: AFC North Enemies Draft

    So, after the first round:

The Steelers give up their 2nd round pick and a 2020 pick to move up in Round 1 and take Devin Bush. While it plugs a big hole, they now have no second round pick, much like the Ravens.

    3 (66) - from OAK (Antonio Brown)
    3 (83)
    4 (122)
    5 (141) - from OAK (Antonio Brown)
    6 (175) - from OAK (Ryan Switzer)
    6 (192)
    6 (207) - comp pick
    7 (219) - from TB (JJ Wilcox)

    Re: AFC North Enemies Draft

The Browns don't even pick until 49, which I'm sure they're fine with since they have OBJ.

    2 (49)
    3 (80)
    4 (119)
    5 (144) - from JAX (Carlos Hyde)
    5 (155)
    5 (170) - from NE (Josh Gordon)
    6 (189)
    7 (221) - from JAX (Cody Kessler)

    Re: AFC North Enemies Draft

The Bengals stood pat and drafted OT Jonah Williams as part of their OL overhaul. Not much action here.

    2 (42)
    3 (72)
    4 (110)
    5 (149)
    6 (183)
    6 (198) - from DAL (Bene Benwikere)
    6 (210) - comp pick
    6 (211) - comp pick
    6 (213) - comp pick
    7 (223)

Thanks to multiple picks from Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, there will be a dozen picks in Round 6 alone from the AFCN.
