OT: Orioles Opening Day
Anyone watching the game at 1? Im working from home and noticed its on ESPN ( im out of market)... I will probably suffer through it, even though I have no idea who the dude at C, 3B, or RF is.

It's going to be a rough year. I actually like their direction but it will take a while.

Continuity can be a thing for O's too. Chris Davis struck out his first AB. Who would have guessed?

Re: OT: Orioles Opening Day
Baseball was my first love but my interest is negative this year. Of course, I'd be more interested in following the Orioles if they would just cut bait with Whiff Davis. He is the textbook definition of a "bum."
I like the teardown and redirection of the franchise as a whole but having that scrub blocking other (any?!) talent at first base is absurd."Did Ed Reed get the respect that he deserves? No he did not...Am I gonna get it? Probably won't. Hopefully he do. If I don't, then, hey, man, I'm alright with me." - Ed Reed

Re: OT: Orioles Opening Day
I'd give Davis two months then cut all ties and eat the contract. For a rebuilding team he's just taking away valuable at bats for a young guy.

It's a shame Chris Davis is all people are going to talk about until he's gone. The team may have a better lineup than people expect.
The pitching, however, remains terrible.

I’m reading “Astroball.” Highly recommend it if you want to get an idea of what the grand plan is in this organization.
Shit, I’m just happy that for the first time in twenty years we actually seem to *have* a grand plan.
