Ravens Projected Cap For the Next Few Years

It's amazing how much better the cap is going to be in the matter of one season.

    Also of note

The Ravens have one of the youngest teams in the league with 48 players age 26 or younger on the current roster.

Will not have that much when we extend Stanley and Humphrey. And a handful of others. But good that we have the space to do it! Cap fixed

Good to see we have plenty of space to sign over the hill receivers

If we make Humphrey the highest paid CB and Stanley the highest paid OL we’d still have ~$65m.

We still have three years left on Marlon btw

The last 1st round pick the Ravens signed to a long term deal was Jimmy Smith. Jimmy was the 1st round pick from 2011. That's a lot of years without 1st round pick worth a big long term contract.

Who was the 1st round pick they signed to a long term deal before Jimmy Smith? Joe Flacco

Think of all that cap space not used on the teams top pick each year.

Yes, still plenty left. Not disagreeing. And c yea, we'll probably lock up Marlon in 2021. Just better keep that space available for those 'must sign guys'.

Because we chose to spend it on one guy that ate it all and underperformed

His cap hit really wasn’t that much of an issue until the last few years because of the way we continually restructured it. Which is why we’re still eating $16m dead cap this year 😂
