As informative as it is to hear from an NFL exec about players themselves is to hear about the process: #Ravens exec Joe Hortiz mentions when players got on team's radar, the initial scouts, positional "cross checkers" and other details of how players are selected.

Smart organizations don't really draft replacements for starters. They draft to create competition for starting jobs.

Was wondering if the thing Tanier mentions, is something we could watch too. I don't see anything on Ravens dotcom with Hortiz running tape.

Did Hortiz just do a one-on-one Zoom interview with Tanier? A press-only thing, not listed on the Ravens site? Maybe we'll get lucky, and they will put it up there, they just haven't finished it yet.

Anyway: looking forward to seeing Tanier's piece that emerges from this.
