The cynic in me then starts to envision scenarios where things like whether the player has already gotten a second contract or not come into play. In the case of Tyreek, he hasn't and so the fiance MIGHT be less inclined to cooperate and thus cost herself/her kid future contract dollars. In the case of Jimmy, he already got paid and his income baseline is established, so less danger of affecting child support payments. Or maybe Jimmy's other run-ins with the law played a factor? Maybe Tyreek's fiance's public image played a factor? I don't know...they just can't get this right...but damn, I thought they could at least get closer to consistency especially when they have so called "proof" of intent or conversations.
I can agree with this. Now this woman will wait for that big new contract before starting up for more child support. She saw that gravy train ending if he got kicked out of the league. I really hope the NFL is right about this.

NFL suspends Jarran Reed of the Seahawks for personal conduct violation apparently related to an incident from 2017...that he wasn’t charged for or arrested.

So, they suspend Reed 6 games for something that happened 2 years ago? But there wasn’t enough to go after Tyreek Hill?

Big loss for them and no rhyme or reason on decision. I do not know the background but as you said, he wasn't charged or arrested...

I saw that. Pretty sad. Heat stroke is totally preventable.

As a Wizards fan, I love it. Sashi was creative as hell there, and Dorsey wouldn’t have been able to do half of what he’s done if not for the cap space and draft picks that Sashi accumulated. His issue was capitalizing on those assets... he sucked at that. But he won’t be making player personnel decisions in Washington, that will be Tommy Shepherd’s job. So Sashi will get to do what he actually does well, and then let actual basketball people capitalize.

    Along the same lines :

NFL suspends Seahawks’ Jarran Reed six games :

    https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...eed-six-games/

"In April of 2017 a woman told police that Reed assaulted her. Reed was not arrested or charged, and given that it’s been more than two years, most league observers figured the incident would not lead to league discipline. But the NFL can suspend any player it wants, on its own timeline, and has apparently decided that there was merit to the woman’s allegation."
