The last several years our defense has made that unnecessary.

    He's correct.

Re: Mavin Lewis Throwing Shade on Lamar Jackson

Lewis knows his team is at a tipping point. They must go 4-2 to have a chance for a wild card. 5-1 might be needed. But if they lose to Cleveland Sunday they are done. The Steelers and Chargers are not winnable games for them. Denver is going to be hard. Heck Cleveland twice might be a split at best. Oakland should be a win. So anything from 1-5 to 4-2 is possible.

So to beef up his inept defense he has to downplay LJ output as a freak or trick not likely to happen again. If he tells his defense we can’t stop either the run or pass they will pack it in on him. And his offense is not much better. The o line is a mess. They can’t run or pass block. 14 runs for 19 yards yesterday was no accident. Their passing game is all quick, short passes. Cover at the line and they struggle. Their drives were all short drives from good field positions.

Correct. I was amazed the defense didn't blow it again yesterday. I fully expect they would've if AJ Green was healthy and playing.

Well, to be fair, wouldn't you be if you had Andy Dalton as a QB and Mike Brown as an Owner? AJ Green gets hurt and Dalton short-circuits.

I was in shock when Humphrey knocked away the pass.

Why, just because LJ kept his Bengals from being the #6 seed? His team, if they made the playoffs, likely would lose their first game anyway. Mr. Lewis should go with the flow... Bc

What's wrong with what Marvin Lewis said? He's 100% correct. I was sitting in the stands watching Lamar run 20+ times thinking the exact same thing.
