Ravens Slammed for Including Ray Rice

Apparently there is no price that Ray Rice is able to pay to allow him back into society according to some people

    https://www.yahoo.com/sports/ravens-...183727494.html

Ray Rice is back at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday with several of his former Baltimore Ravens teammates from the 2008 season.

Apparently five years is an appropriate amount of time before welcoming back a player who was released in disgrace.

Rice embraced by current, former players
Rice was photographed on the field with former teammates Jonathan Ogden and Jason Brown, both offensive linemen, as well as Jacoby Jones and Matt Stover.

He also was embraced by current Baltimore running back Alex Collins.

Rice was released by the Ravens in 2014, after the public saw video of him assaulting his then-fiancee in an Atlantic City casino elevator.

This isn’t the first time an NFL organization has welcomed Rice: In early 2016, he was a member of the coaching staff for the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, one of the showcase games for draft-eligible players.

    ‘Legends of the Game’?
Rice, Ogden and the rest gathered for a reunion of the 2008 Ravens’ team, as part of Baltimore’s “Legend of the Game” promotion at home games.

In 2008, Baltimore advanced to the AFC championship game, losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was the first season for the team with coach John Harbaugh and quarterback Joe Flacco.

Legend has different meanings for everyone, apparently.

What more do they want from Rice? He made a huge mistake, and he paid dearly for it. Apparently forgiveness is lost on some people.

The writer is a mother of three daughters, but yeah, perhaps she'd like someone to travel back in time and kill Ray's parents or something.

It made a lasting impression being caught on film that brings it back to like it happened yesterday, he's never to be free of it.

If it was never on film, he'd probably still be playing in the NFL barring he was still good talent wise.

That's a shame. He fucked up, no doubt. But he's been blackballed by the league while guys who have done the same or worse still suit up on Sundays.

She should be ashamed of herself.
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Exactly. I guess the new question is "If a crime is not caught on film, did it really happen?" Or, "If a crime is not caught on film, is it really that bad?"

It just wasn't publicized because it happened when Mixon was a "nobody" in college compared to Ray Rice who was a popular NFL player.
