    Coachwatch

which coach is on the shortest leash?

how many wins will Hue Jackson need to stay?

will Belichik and/or Carroll finally walk away?

will Cinci regret keeping Coach Marvin?

will somebody give Mike Shanahan another chance or has his ship sailed?

By shortest leash you mean someone who could be fired in season? Hue Jackson loses his first 4 and he's probably gone before week 5.

If Hue makes it the season he needs 8 wins to stay and he won't get there.

Belechick is going nowhere. Pete will be there until he's fired and that's not coming this year.

If the owners of the Bengals had any regrets over Marvin he wouldn't still be there. As long as they sell tickets he stays. Winning still doesn't matter to Mike Brown

Shanahan could be in play for the Browns but that's the only team I see being interested.

Unless the Browns completely turn it around, I don't see Hue making it through this season. They'll turn it over to Teryl Austin or Todd Haley.

I also think Todd Bowles could be on a short leash.

I think Vance Joseph is on a shorter leash than most think. Elway is notoriously impatient and if the addition of Keenum and bookending Von with Chubb doesn't produce results in the 1st half of the season, that seat will be on fire.

Well, with the Browns, 2 wins is turning it around.

Agree that Hue is on the shortest leash....but honestly, not that I see it happening, but if the Ravens stumble out to a 0-5 or 2-7 start...I can see Harbaugh's seat getting very warm.

how many wins will Hue Jackson need to stay?

If Brady retires, I think Belichick walks away. Carroll: No.

will Cinci regret keeping Coach Marvin?
As Gota said, No: He's cheap and sells tickets.

will somebody give Mike Shanahan another chance or has his ship sailed?
    Sailed.

I think BB would stay to prove he can win without Brady.

We should have a poll on how many games Hue lasts. I am thinking he's gone by Thanksgiving, but obviously depends on how they play.

What about Jason Garrett? I know Jerry loves him but shouldn't he have to win a playoff game once in a decade?
Vance Joseph - agreed, although I think they may be better than expected, which could save him.
    Jay Gruden?

And Tampa seems to flush their coach every 3 years or so, they may be due

    Re: Coachwatch

I think Hue has to win early. Browns fans seem excited for the first time in years, the team has actual talent now, if they continue losing I think he's gone pretty quick. They should not be a bottom tier team with the guys they now have.

Shortest leash: Jackson in Cleveland, Koetter in Tampa, Gase in Miami or Joseph in Denver.
Jackson needs to finish at least .500 to keep his job and maybe not then. I don't get the feeling he is in their long term plans and Todd Haley is there so they can have a smooth transition between coaches this time.
No and Maybe. I could see Belichick hanging around for a few years. Carroll at least one or two more.
They shouldn't. Marvin Lewis is not the best coach in the league. I don't know if he's even a good coach, but he's an average coach and more importantly, he is the best coach that I think Mike Brown would be willing to pay for.
It has sailed and passed over the horizon.
