The problem with politics is that it’s not interesting enough to garner people’s attention to where they have a good grasp on what’s happening domestically and abroad. There are so many things sitting in the political ether that...if you don’t passionately care about it...you depend on other people to connect the dots for you. That’s the way it is and has been forever.

I’ve always said...instead of listening to a political pundit’s take or opinion on a speech, on a bill, an executive order, a law, a comment, etc...you should read the speech yourself, read the bill yourself, read the executive order yourself, read the law yourself, read the comment yourself, etc to form your own opinion. If you do that...having discourse is more enjoyable.

Being informed is easy if you can think for yourself. Millions of people can’t and don’t want to. The MSM in this country is well aware of this. Their success depends on the ignorance of the populous. I think these are the types of people who make up most of the “sheeple.” Not all...but certainly most. Social media makes it worse.

All of this has been exposed in the era of Obama/Trump and politics have never been more interesting.

Great George Carlin bit. He was one of my favorites.

Ya know...I sometimes hear younger people nowadays saying...”when was America ever great?” If anyone is in earshot of a dumbass saying this, we all probably have our own unique answers and would more than likely want to chime in. I know I would.

My answer would be...”when comedy was hilarious and people could sit and laugh their asses off during a George Carlin set.” Nowadays, comedy is basically Stephen Colbert insulting Trump for 30 mins every night and not be funny.

If Carlin were a comic today, he wouldn’t be successful. In fact, he’d either have to change his act entirely in order to have a job or he’d be smeared as a bigot.

    Carlin was a legend.
