Your thoughts on this case, was the father justified?

I think its possible. referencing "the same murder 2 charges" is if he followed through all the same (beating his ass).

my thinking goes...

Assault if he didnt die.
manslaughter if he stopped after 1 hit when he went down.
murder 2 since he continued to beat him while on the ground, repeatedly.

Typically a DA is going to put the stiffest charge he/she thinks they can prove, knowing a plea down is a likely alternate. I think they have a very strong case against the father for murder 2, but i wouldnt be surprised if they accepted a plea deal. His added history of DV, will hurt him as well as the facts of the case.

That was my thought as well. If he died from getting dropped didn't think it would be murder 2. It was the curbstomping after.

Don't think I'd be that restrained about it. Either way would honestly not even think of making a viral video.
