Re: Favorite songs from the 1990s

I just miss seeing shows without a thousand cell phones up filming everything. Put the phone down and enjoy the music.

Anyone going to Blue Ridge Rock Fest in Danville, VA? A fucking great lineup, not all 90s by any means but some good pre-2000 bands. Megadeth, Bush, Anthrax, Cypress Hill, Limp Bizkit, to name a few.

I weep for today’s generation. They will never get to see real musicians play live.

Hopefully Dusty got to Chicago before Jesus left.

Yeah it's real tough to hear about Dusty. Sadly all the greats are going to the performance center in the sky. Lot of great songs but I don't know why I always just loved this song lol.

Course I loved theleggy ones too.
    I don't know a lot but I know a little

I had not heard that song in a long time. I do remember the video.

Nah …just “today’s” music isn’t real. Lots of Auto-Tune and electric, computer music. Guys like ZZ Top that actual play are rare.

Yeah, maybe, but I......... Spied a little thing and I followed her all night
In a funky fine Levis and her sweater's kind of tight
She had a west coast strut that was as sweet as molasses
But what really knocked me out was her cheap sunglasses..... oh yeah!!

Maybe in the pop scene. There are still some pretty talented rock bands out there.

You're looking in the wrong places my friend. The rock scene and all it's sub-genre are still very alive and kicking.

Here's a band with IMO the best modern metal drummer out there today (might not like the vocals but the musicianship is top notch). The intro will kick your ass. I saw this played live a couple years ago and had an out of body experience (the weed might have helped that).
