No. Favre stuck around long enough for us to watch him play as a shadow of himself; that detracts from our memory of peak Favre. But at his peak Favre was incredible.

The only player ever to win 3 consec NFL MVP awards, 95-96-97.

He also threw 336 interceptions. The most in NFL history by a huge margin. The second most was George Blanda who threw 59 less picks than Favre did.

Yes, I understand that. He stuck around and played for a long time.

Does not detract from his excellence at his peak in the mid/late nineties.

If Flacco wins a SB per your scenario it would be criminally stupid to move on from him for a guy that isn't going to last much longer than Flacco given his age. LJ has to stay in the pocket and move the team with his arm to show he can be the guy for more than 4-5 years.
Lamar threw for 3500 yards twice. I wouldn’t call him a running qb.

As evidenced by the fact that he had more yards rushing than Saquon Barkley

And he runs. That means he takes a lot of hits pocket QBs do not.

There is a reason RBs have the shortest longevity in the game.

And more yards passing than Josh Allen, Luke Falk and Tanner Lee. About the same yards passing as Josh Rosen.

These days, that's at least 4 seasons worth.
