Grant has played his way into competition with Tim White for the last WR spot and primary returner. White needs to get back on the field.

Yes, it's unfortunate for us and White that his 2017 opportunity was marred by injury. Now Grant comes along, seems to be thriving, and White is again sidelined. With the Ravens WR corps near full (did I actually write that about the Ravens?), only one of those two may make it, but no way I can see both on the 53 man... Bc

Mid-game vs Indy I thought Grant had passed Tim White on the depth chart. White had fumbled his first punt return, and had the penalty; Grant had flashed some plays.

    Then Grant fumbled too!

It's a "softer" situation than before Grant's fumble, but the Ravens treatment of him post-fumble was interesting to me. Grant got some face time with Coach immediately after the fumble; then he was back in the game and had more return opportunities, plus a catch or two. It just seems to me that Grant is getting a longer leash than White is.

Despite last night's fumble I think Grant is still the leading candidate for return duties. I could have read it wrong, but by the way Harbaugh got on him I think he really likes Grant. He does look good.

White's fumble was terrible. Should've fair caught it for one thing, but then made it worse by not covering up the ball. Grant showed some burst and had a nice return going before the fumble....just needs to learn to protect the ball.

Why not give the Job to Moore?

Won't he be too busy with his full-time starting job as Brown's backup?

Moore doesn't return punts either. I'm not sure there's anyone on defense that does as well.

Because he can't return punts. Completely different skill sets needed. Moore is a buildup, straight line speedster. Good for KR. A PR needs to be shifty in the open field, which Moore just isn't. Not a knock on the guy but he just doesn't translate to PR.

To me, that skillset screams Kenneth Dixon. Maybe worth a look? I feel like why carry a return specialist you know? If possible I'm always looking to save a roster spot

I hope they keep Grant. Yeah, he's got to secure the ball better but to me, he looks a lot more explosive than White. Remember last year when Collins came in but had some fumble issues? That worked out pretty well, right?

I actually forgot about Collins early fumble issues. I think Grant is the odds on favorite to win the return job. He's got more wiggle and is more elusive in the open field than the other guys. Plus he was a pretty good return guy in College. When I watch him he just seems like more of a natural fit for the job.
