Trump is no Ronnie Reagan

Ronald Reagan was a great actor. He knew how to make pretend he was President while he was being handled by the Deep State. Donald Trump is so inept, such a buffon, that I haven’t seen someone blow this kind of lead since Don Stanhouse.. His capitulation to Putin and his inflammatory rhetoric to his own citizens has diveded this country beyond repair.

Not sure I'd agree, but would you go so far as to say the last "occupant" of the WH didn't do much of this?

I guess I don’t really understand this thread. Trump isn’t Ronald Reagan. Different men for different times. Reagan was responsible for uniting Germany and dealing a death blow to Communism by increasing military spending while letting the free market boom and our economy outpace the world. Right now Trump is increasing military spending and lowered taxes and reduced regulations so that our economy could outpace our enemies. So he’s actually following a similar playbook. He openly said that he wants our military so large and modern that we don’t have to use it. Very similar. Reagan actually did have a weakness and that was picking judges. He didn’t do very well in that department. Otherwise he had 4-5% GDP. I think we got as high as 8-10% some quarters. His approval rating was enormous. He pretty much is the reason Bush 1 was elected. Bush 1 was weak. I guess I’d be interested in comparisons and not useless analogies and non descriptive euphamisms. That’s pretty much all I’ve seen out of filth. I CAN say Obama was a lazy, socialist scumbag, but I don’t say things like that because it’s useless and uneducated conjecture.

Not sure I get the point of this thread either because there is a ton of similarity between Reagan/Trump. You already pointed some of it out.
