Ed Reed and Tony Gonzalez are up next year, also would be likely first ballot guys. Obviously Brady once he gets eligible. I think Larry Fitzgerald and Adrian Peterson are also strong contenders whenever they decide to hang it up. I think guys like Revis, Jason Witten, and Champ Bailey aren't first ballot because they didn't have the same "flash", especially in their later years (even if they deserve to be).

Alright, I am saying as of late, Brett Favre, Derrick Brooks, Jonathan Ogden, Junior Seau, Warren Sapp, Ed Reed, and Tony Gonzalez. Once again, sure fire first ballot HOF players. I am not high on Tomlinson for this.

How are you not high on Tomlinson?

His 2006 season was arguably the best season by a running back of all time

He could go either way for me. I could probably be persuaded. The longevity of his career is an issue as well as productivity. This also points to Terrell Davis who I argue brings the tradition of the HOF and legitimacy into question because it should be the only best of the best.

He played at a high level then tailed off his last 3 years including his average yards per rush suffered.

If you cannot accept the facts, then that is solely on you.
