Re: Sad local news - Ocean City MD's "Boardwalk Elvis died yesterday
Man, that's sad. I remember seeing him all of the time when I was a kid. He was only 78? Good Lord...he looked 80 20 years ago.

Re: Sad local news - Ocean City MD's "Boardwalk Elvis died yesterday
Am I remembering this correctly? Didn't the OC Council at some point ban him from doing Boardwalk Elvis stuff for some liability or copyright reason?

Another piece of my childhood summers spent at OC gone. Sad.

Norman was sick for awhile with throat cancer.
He was never banned from the boardwalk, they recently gave him a key to the city.
He wasn't homeless, we would give him a ride home often starting back in the 70's when I worked at the cotton candy stand.
His family took care of him.
He worked for years at the local plant nursery, he would always plant peanuts and give bags of them them away.
