    Man, that's sad. I remember seeing him all of the time when I was a kid. He was only 78? Good Lord...he looked 80 20 years ago.

    Wicked - I had not seen him down there for years and assumed he had died years ago. Your right, he looked very old when I was a kid. I figured he was homeless and lived a hard life.

    Am I remembering this correctly? Didn't the OC Council at some point ban him from doing Boardwalk Elvis stuff for some liability or copyright reason?

    Norman was sick for awhile with throat cancer.
    He was never banned from the boardwalk,they recently gave him a key to the city.
    He wasn't homeless, we would give him a ride home often starting back in the 70's when I worked at the cotton candy stand.
    His family took care of him.
    He worked for years at the local plant nursery, he would always plant peanuts and give bags of them them away.

    I always remember seeing him riding his bike around Ocean Pines, Racetrack Road, etc. I lived right beside River Run golf course growing up.
