absolutely. Its one thing to instill confidence in your franchise QB, I think its another to ignore that last part, especially knowing how laid back Flacco is in general. I think hes the type that needs prodded a little. That's not a knock, there's been plenty of talent that falls under that umbrella.

competition breeds performance. Harbs preaches that at every other position. Ozzie has said the same. rather have too many, than not enough. well did we do that at QB? not really, imo. I think that's a legitimate criticism of the FO.

This is pretty much how I see it. Honestly, when I saw this thread's title and read the OP's initial post I was expecting something more inflammatory than what the article actually said. So Lamar Jackson has lit a fire under Flacco. Isn't that what many of us expected (and hoped)? No surprises here and certainly nothing to be upset about.

Flacco has thrown tight spirals for years in practice including this offseason and we know how he plays in games so I don’t really care about Lamar’s throwing motion right now in a practice setting.

I'd also offer that if he's in the middle of a coach-enforced mechanics change then things may look awkward b/c to him things feel awkward.

His ceiling is Slash and it seems from reports that’s how he’s going to be used this year.....

Flacco has thrown tight spirals for years in practice including this offseason and we know how he plays in games so I don’t really care about Lamar’s throwing motion right now in a practice setting.

He can’t throw to the outside that’s never going to work in the nfl. Your going to be more disappointed in LJ then GWNR was with 11 this year. (Now if used as a true weapon ie like Slash then he will be fine)You have him as the messiah I see Him as Jim Jones
