As I just said on @OTLonESPN sources in the room told me there was no official vote for the anthem resolution. League execs polled owners and knew how they’d vote but didn’t hold an official vote, atypical for such a major resolution.

Question - why can't the players just stay in the locker room while the anthem is being played? I don't get the uproar.

Steelers corner Artie Burns on protesting players having to stay in the locker room during the anthem or face discipline/team fines: “You talk about bullying, man. That’s bullying.”
Baldy, I hate dirty cops with a passion, but at the end of the day, these guys are at work. I know I couldn't get away with protesting whatever cause I happened to support at my job. I don't know about anyone else. The issue I have is what happens if someone doesn't want to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness? Will they be fined? Because that sends the message of a double standard.

Does everyone wear pink now? I’ve never looked that hard to see.
This new “rule” is all assed up. The teams should keep All the players in the locker room. Why is that soo simple to the fans yet the NFL just finds ways to look worse. ?

Does Kerr not know the NBA doesn't allow players to not stand for the anthem and that they will fine them?

Not to mention. What sports league doesn't appeal to their fan base/customers?
