and they say if a player is on the field for the anthem and kneels, 15 yard penalty. Like that is going to make a difference.

Per sources, one anthem idea being discussed: Leaving it up to home team on whether teams come out for the anthem; if teams do come out for the anthem, potential that teams could be assessed 15-yard penalties for kneeling.

It'll make a difference. It's one thing to get fined. A whole nother thing to have your team be penalized in game for it.

And really does it have to make a difference? I don't remember hearing about anyone kneeling after week 6 or 7 this past season

My sister-in-law must be really patriotic because she never kneels when the National Anthem is played. Of course if she did kneel it would take two burly men and a small derrick to life her up again... Bc

This is the answer.

We don't have the national anthem for any of our other forms of entertainment (movies, concerts, plays etc.) so why do we do it for sports? Keep it for international stuff like the Olympics and the World Cup only.
