Browns signed LB Mychal Kendricks, formerly of the Eagles, to a one-year contract.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported this over 24 hours ago, but Kendricks made a big stink about it through the media, saying the deal wasn't complete. Now, it is. Kendricks is coming off a really strong year in Philly where he appeared in 18-of-19 games, including the playoffs, and was a 16-game starter. He received strong marks from Pro Football Focus for his run defense and wasn't a liability in coverage. Kendricks has a chance to be an every-down player in Cleveland.

I think I'd prefer Carder over Peanut. My big hope with Peanut was that he'd be that converted safety/hybrid guy that excels in the nickel and dime, but he just didn't looked good last year.
