Hypothetical Scenario Flacco vs Jackson vs Tyrod
It’s 2008. The Ravens need a quarterback. All three of these guys are available. Let’s use Joe as the control benchmark. What’s the career arc girl Tyrod and Lamar given the same weapons and coordinators that Joe had. How many rings do we win?

Re: Hypothetical Scenario Flacco vs Jackson vs Tyrod
How can anyone possibly answer this question before LJ has played in the NFL?
I like Tyrod but I don't see him going on that run that Flacco had in 2012 to win the Super Bowl. TT seems to be more consistently average than Flacco but he lacks the ability to be great for any length on time like Flacco was in the 2012 playoffs.

Re: Hypothetical Scenario Flacco vs Jackson vs Tyrod
Agree with GOTA, Hypothetical Tyrod doesn't do anything for us that Joe didn't do.
Hypothetical Lamar is an interesting question. He hasn't proven anything yet: he'll have to develop to be as good as Tyrod, let alone Joe. HOWEVER. Our 2008 team was very, very strong. Joe was the weak link; he was solid for a rookie, but still just a rookie QB. It LJ as a rookie could be about 80%+ of the passer that Joe was as a rookie, then you could make a solid case that his rushing ability could have gotten us over the hump against Pittsburgh.
So even without becoming a "good" QB, Hypothetical Lamar could maybe have stolen a SB win in 2008, with playmaking ability and just enough passing. That D was championship caliber; Lamar would turn the 3-headed monster into a 4-headed monster, and he can throw. So it's possible that Lamar could be "one ahead" of Joe after their respective rookie seasons. Maybe. (In real life Lamar was 11 yrs old at the time.)
Beyond a hypothetical splash impact as a rookie making plays with his legs and throwing enough, LJ would have to develop significantly as a passer to be able to do as much as Joe did 2009-12. We'll see how that goes.

That toss up to win the game came down to pure luck. It was not an accurate throw, just really long. Jacoby used his body to catch the ball. Raheem was about a step away from defending and could have if he took the right line.
All pure luck. Still one of my favorite plays of all time.
