Re: Shooting at Santa Fe High School

I think that a few things need to happen.

    1. All schools need an intake system where there random people cannot get through without being challenged. Though there may be multiple doors for exit, there should only be one or two primary points of entry.

    2. Schools need armed guards as part of those points of entry.

3: Schools need metal detectors at those points of entries. Major cities have arguably the highest rates of gun violence in the country, but very few school shootings. Why? Armed guards and metal detectors.

Also, if the investigation finds that the kids parents didn’t have the guns properly stowed, they should be charged as well.

Who are you arguing with? You are tone deaf. I agreed with you. Who got a member kicked out? What are you talking about?

You can’t solve the gun problem. It’s here to stay.

    Wicked for the win!

This is exactly right. Common sense solution, IMO.

    Andrew Pollack agrees...

This is a $10B solution, we still haven't figured out where that money comes from...

I think step 1 would be creating the positions and then hiring and appropriately training those hires. They’re part of the local municipal police department, but on school duty.

    Build it into state/local taxes.

Not nearly enough to educate the nation's children as it is. If we were to cut education to defend the schools there wouldn't be a reason to send you're kids there
