Id like to keep those numbers similar if not even more towards the run. The better receivers are just a bonus... the offense should based on the ground game.

I hope not. I hope we are a play action deep ball team....but I have my doubts
    Burn it down

For fans that want us to run more or who are looking for "balance," I think 55/45 is about as good as it's going to get in Marty's WCO, wherin short passes are considered an extension of the running game.

Assuming Flacco remains at QB, much of that number is results dependent.

I'd love to see something closer to 50/50, because it means the Ravens will be closing out a lot of games with the run.

If the Ravens go 4-12, they won't be close to 45% runs.

2018 will be similar, especially with the new WR and TE options.

Exactly. When teams get behind they start throwing a lot more and try to score quickly. A balanced offense is always the goal

SB Champs were 45.61% run / 54.39% pass

I don't think run vs pass will come down to philosophy, but rather the situation. If we're down early and often we'll obviously be passing more. If we're trying to control a lead or keep a game close then it'll be closer to a 50/50 split.

Conversely when the Ravens get a lead they move to clock milking mode.
The old argument that winning teams run more is equally skewed by what is dictated late game; depending on whether they have the lead or are trailing

    It depends.....

I think the Marty and Joe will want to sling it around more because of the upgrade in receiving talent and if Joe plays the whole season I think the pass run ratio will go up......58-42
BUT if they actually use a "package" of plays for Lamar say ~5-6 plays a game that will help keep the run balance even with Joe+Marty slinging it more.................................55-45
IF Lamar takes the reigns from Joe fulltime and plays in 8 or more games..............................................................................................................................................53-47
