Zach Brown released
He was just released by the Redskins. He was rated the #3 inside linebacker by PFF (grain of salt and all).

What do we think of Brown replacing Mosley?
He fits the idea of only picking up free agents that have been released to keep maximum compensatory picks.

Re: Zach Brown released
Go get him. Brown & Earl Thomas > Mosley & weddle. For all the panic, we may have upgraded the D at a much lower cost....

Go get him.

Re: Zach Brown released
He's a solid LB, I'd get him depending on price.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Perfect bridge ILB. He'd be #1 on my list for the position

Re: Zach Brown released
He and Justin Houston should be in Baltimore already. Just add another pass rusher via draft and we'll be great at D again

I'm fine with Young and peanut. We draft ILB too well to spend the money in FA.

Re: Zach Brown released
Why would The Redskins cut him ? It's just interesting that they would cut a linebacker that was rated so high by Pff.
