Earl Thomas in 2019 vs DeShon Elliott in 2020.

Both plays result in touchdowns, but Thomas pulls up while Elliott doesn’t quit and causes a fumble.

Mike MacDonald should be our head coach next season

If Youre gonna say I said something, Quote me cause yall be lying.

If he holds up physically, Elliott will be a solid contributor for quite a while. And he fits the mythical, "Plays like a Raven"! And he cost us a 6th?!
Not much really matters, and the rest doesn't matter at all.

So what is your opinion of Clark and Elliott as a tandem? I see them both as hybrids but what do I know?

Elliott is good for what he is but we’re not stopping KC with him and Clark back there. I’m not saying we should have kept Thomas, but I do think it’s fair to say we miss him on the field more than I expected.

With this trio of CBs, it can work.

Agree. Both are solid, smart, and versatile. Great fit for Wink’s schemes, especially with stellar corners around them.

Elliot has been solid so far. Pass coverage has been average. He would fit better at SS in my opinion.

Love his tackling prowess and his effort.

He won’t be a guy to get a bunch of INT but he will get us a few FF for sure

Ravens were not really gettting the ball thrown over their heads with Earl and they still arnt with Elliot. What he brings in the run game is so needed. Id say his tackling ability vs what Earl would have done will ultimatly be worth +1 wins for the season. Everyone on D that isnt a legit interception wizard should be able to tackle RBs to save a TD, watching ET lowlights now i dont understand how i was ok with it then.

My thought is, those two would both excel as Cover 2 safeties if the team had standard CBs. Cover 2 doesn't have a "strong" and "free" safety so much as just two safeties.

Fortunately we don't have standard CBs.
