Re: OT: Orioles discussion
There are few Baltimore Sports figures more beloved than Brooks Robinson, if any.

Re: OT: Orioles discussion
Birds have won 28 of 97 with Manny. What can we expect from the remaining 65 games without Manny?

Re: OT: Orioles discussion
If we have many of the 60-odd games ending like yesterday's: a few heart attacks!
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Re: OT: Orioles discussion
Supposedly the Orioles have a "handshake" deal in place for Manny and the trade will get done after the ASG.

Re: OT: Orioles discussion
Yeah, they know these games are worthless, so they don't want Manny to get hurt to worsen his trade value.
My question is: Are any of these prospects going to be better value than the 1-2nd round sandwich pick that we're getting for Manny? We screwed the pooch by not trading him last year, so a new team won't get that pick.

Re: OT: Orioles discussion
I was at the HR derby and may have gotten a look at a future oriole. They had the two finalist of the HS HR derby square off. The kid who won was Bobby Witt Jr who is projected to be the #1 overall pick next year. He is a HS SS whose dad played in the majors. The HS kids with aluminum bats hit the ball further than the Pros.

Re: OT: Orioles discussion
The Orioles have agreed to the structure of a deal according to Buster Olney. Orioles going over medicals now (pray for us). Sounds like it's the Dodgers. Their #4 prospect Yusniel Diaz appears to be the center piece for the Orioles.
