yeah since bmore had no team I always sided with the caps. remember being in 7th grade watching them get swept in the Stanley Cup back in 98. that was rough but those playoffs hooked me. now I live and work in dc so it's easier to support them. NO to the gnats and skins, of course

Yeha now that I think of it I grew up learning to hate the Leafs because my family is all Sens fans, but given that Ottawa doesn't have NBA or MLB teams I am now a Blue Jays and Raps fan, but CFL I'm Redblacks and NHL I'm Sens, so point taken on that. Similar situation.

I have to say I went to a Tampa bar expecting a great match and it was one sided from the onset. Same with the NBA game last night. Neither were that entertaining IMO but glad the Caps have a shot at winning it all.

see even though the Caps clearly outscored (and won), it looked a little dicey to me in the first two periods with the Lighting outshooting them and seeming to have possession longer. but the third period, the Caps took over. more taking of lunch and spork-breaking ;)

Right. I meant keep it up in the finals. That would be amazing, but I don't see Vegas getting shutdown like the Lightning.
