Re: 2019 QB class. The Flacco- Heir apparent
Problem is, and I've posted this before, the Ravens are still good enough to win games and not get a top 5 draft pick in 2019. I know many are down on our team, and rightfully so, but Harbs and Co. usually win enough games to keep us out of prime draft territory... Bc

Re: 2019 QB class. The Flacco- Heir apparent
Others have stated this as well and it's a valid point. We don't know how the season will turn, but I'll confess I'm more pessimistic than I have been in a long time regarding this team. If we did end up with a Top 5 pick, I think QBOTF is the way to go. Trouble is, the pick is more likely to be in the 8 to 15 range.
That begs the question: if a guy like Falk, White, or Lauletta is there in, say, the 3rd round this year, do you pull the trigger? Do any of these have starter potential down the road if they can sit for a while in the NFL?

Justin Herbert. Learn the name. Know the name.
Huge frame, athletic, productive, efficient, live arm. Drives the ball with a lot more zip than Lock. Oregon's season really declined when he went on the shelf.
He's my guy for next cycle. Hopefully the (yet another) coaching change doesn't adversely affect him.

Re: 2019 QB class. The Flacco- Heir apparent
We have 8 picks in this year's draft. Ideally, I'd like to see - in no particular order:
3 picks allocated to some combination of WR and TE
1 pick allocated to OT
1 pick allocated to C (unless they REALLY think Skura can turn it on)
1 pick allocated to ILB
1 pick allocated to FS
That's 7 out of 8. With that remaining pick, either QB, RB, or another OT.
I will now brace myself for the inevitable DL selection(s).

Re: 2019 QB class. The Flacco- Heir apparent
A double-header reply to you, trail :
I don't think I'd do it because of three possible reasons :
(1) The Wagner fiasco has lost us that extra 3rd round comp pick.
(2) What if there's a WR, TE, or C available?
(3) I don't want a 2nd rate QB to groom for the future, if it's possible to avoid it.
... Bc
I am so in line with your balance of picks that I can't add or subtract from it ... Bc

I don't even think that. I still believe the Ravens have a competitive team although not exactly a Super Bowl contender. Granted it's early, but I see the Ravens falling somewhere between 7 - 9 and 9 - 7. That won't get us high enough to vie for the 2019 #1... Bc
