Same here. If I could hop in a Delorean and go back in time it would be to see Zeppelin live!

Volbeat is on my to see list. Metallica will be playing in Raleigh this year. Pretty sure I'm gonna try to check out that show as well.

I agree; very refreshing! Kinda get tired of all the bickering in the "this" vs "that" stuff. Just goes to show, at the end of the day, we can all get along after all :) There IS some common ground between the "only this way" and "only that way" arguments, but everyone is too busy trying to convince the other side why they are wrong to see that both sides have valid points. Just like the music and movies threads, football is supposed to be that place to get away from all the "this" vs "that" but it's turned into the biggest argument thread on here. :(

Sadly I blame the bickering on our beloved Ravens. Years of mediocrity has the fanbase at a bad place. Guess we’re spoiled from the ‘08-13 post season runs.

VolBeat is def a good show. I went to Philly to see the same Metallica show and A7X player was sick or something so VolBeat played a longer set. Worth it. Good sound live.

So in the spirit of this thread thought I’d ask a question : fav female artist. Kinda outa the box since I don’t think most female artist get much thought outside of Pop music. So that being said ...list your fav female artist ( any genre) Have fun. Enjoy.

    In no order:
    Pat Benatar
    Stevie Nicks
    Ann Wilson
    Lzzy Hale
    Taylor Momson
    Melissa Etherage
    Etta James
    Amy Lee
    Annie Lennox
    Patti Smyth
    Chrissy Hynde
    Pink

    Just a few. I’m sure there’s more.

Fiona Apple is high up there for me. She's bizarre but very talented.

    Alabama Shakes is awesome.

Some others I've listened to and grown up on:
    Bonnie Rait
    Joan Armatrading
    Ingrid Michaelson
    Regina Spektor
    Carole King

I saw Regina Spektor back in '99/'00 when I was touring SUNY Purchase. They had a kind of variety show made up of current students and she was the music department rep. Even back then you could tell she was a cut above everyone else.

There's just something about a female that has a great singing voice, no matter which genre, that is soothing.

Lzzy Hale, Taylor Momsen, Dorothy Martin, and Amy Lee are definitely in my top at the moment. You can't really go wrong with Joan Jett, Stevie Nicks, and Pat Benatar either.....

I can dig any chick that has a raspy voice when she sings. I like the lounge singer type of voice.

I also can enjoy some country artists like Carrie Underwood, although I don't really like much of her songs. lol She does have a great voice though.
