Not a fan of "athletic" QBs with accuracy issues. Waste of draft pick in any round. Find a QB that can can read a defense and then deliver the ball from the pocket accurately. The QB just needs to be athletic enough to move in the pocket and scramble when needed.

Yup. And as we’ve every single place that Marty has been since that it was Andy Reid running that offense. Maybe Marty was a good sounding board for Reid but he certainly wasn’t responsible for that offense

He is a very gifted athlete. However, at the end of the day, he's an athlete playing QB with a lot of accuracy issues, who does not want to play any other position. Even if you move him, you have to question if he will be committed to it. You also have to think that he sees the money QBs are making. He's already saying that he only wants to be a QB. So, it doesn't matter if you can move him to RB or WR, because he doesn't want to do it. His only chance at QB, in my opinion, is what GOTA suggested. He needs to go to a team with a coaching staff that has a pedigree for grooming QBs.

With where the Patriots pick they would have to get him at #31. They going to use a 1st round just to get someone for trick plays? No way. They have some serious needs on defense.

One of the benefits of having a scrambling qb is you don't need world beaters at WR and TE in order to make the playoffs.

Of course we'd still need to address the positions but Newton and Taylor had no help last year.
